On January 16, 2025, about 1700 central standard time, an American Champion Aircraft 7ECA airplane, N798L sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Longview, Texas. The flight instructor and the student pilot were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91 instructional flight.
