Each company is placed at the city of its head office (for an airport, the city it serves), as the low-cost model gives it and checked against the world's cities (Natural Earth, public domain); where the model does not know the city, the company is left off the map and stays in the directory. Companies in the same city are spread a little apart so each can be seen when zoomed in. A dot's size is how active the company is in the record (its agreements, plants and news) or, for the people, how many people the news names there.
