These special conditions are issued for the Hamilton Standard Model 568F propeller with electronic propeller and pitch control system. The applicable regulations currently do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for constant speed propellers with electronic propeller and pitch control. These special conditions contain additional safety standards which the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the airworthiness standards of part 35 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
