About
The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) is a program by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) designed to help families and households afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. It provided a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households could also receive a one-time discount to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet. The EBB was replaced by the Affordable Connectivity Program on December 31, 2021.

A company page draws on the SAFxCHANGE record: the agreement table (2013 to late 2023), the plants table (December 2023) and what the reader has found in the news since, marked unverified until checked. The categories follow the SAFxCHANGE value-chain map; they were assigned from the company's role in the deals and plants and from what is written about it, and a company can fill more than one. Names are matched by their words, so a company recorded under two very different names may show on two pages.
