These special conditions are issued for the Airbus Industrie Model A320 series airplane. This airplane will have non-traditional computerized Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) performance presentation features when compared to the manner in which AFM performance is now presented in chart form in compliance with the transport category airplane airworthiness standards of the Federal Aviation regulations (FAR). These special conditions contain the additional standards which the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of AFM preparation and usage equivalent to that established by the FAR.
