This special condition is being issued for the FFT Gesellschaft Fur Flugzeug und Faserverbund Technologie mbH Model, Eurotrainer 2000 Series airplanes. Those airplanes will have novel and unusual design features when compared to the state of technology envisaged in the airworthiness standards for normal, utility, acrobatic, and commuter category airplanes. These design features include the use of composite materials for primary structure for which the regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate airworthiness standards. This special condition contains the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that provided by the current airworthiness standards.
