This special condition amendment is issued to become part of the type certification basis for Beech Aircraft Corporation Model 55 Series, Model 58 Series, and Model 95( )55 Series Airplanes that are modified to incorporate anti-detonation injection (ADI) system provisions. The certification basis for the existing type design of these airplanes does not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for these systems. Special conditions were issued August 25, 1986 (51 FR 30206), to provide the additional safety standards the Administrator finds necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to the original certification basis for these airplanes. The amendment adds a requirement inadvertently omitted from the previously issued special conditions.
