FLITE Consortium is building Europe's first of its kind Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) production plant to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to airlines to help them meet carbon reduction targets. The project aims to improve production performance, achieve greenhouse gas savings, optimize ATJ production economics, and demonstrate the flexibility of ethanol-based ATJ technology for commercial aviation. The SAF is produced from waste-based ethanol resources, and the project includes a precommercial scale demonstration of ATJ-Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene production, ensuring global monitoring from technical, environmental, economic, and socioeconomic perspectives.
