On January 19, 2025, about 1410 eastern standard time, a Montaer MC-01, N916VS, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Miramar, Florida. The private pilot sustained minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that the purpose of the flight was a trip to the Bahamas. During the takeoff roll, just after rotation, the engine lost power.
