On June 29, 2025, about 1107 eastern daylight time, a Beech 95-B55, N9420Y, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Mount Dora, Florida. The private pilot was seriously injured and the passenger sustained minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the passenger, the purpose of the flight was to obtain fuel at a different, unspecified, airport. This was the passenger’s first time being in an airplane.
