On August 6, 2026, about 1030 central daylight time, a Beech H35, N5409D, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Bogalusa, Louisiana. The private pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. Preliminary ADS-B data showed the airplane departed Elm Creek Airpark (0TX6), Seguin, Texas, where the airplane was based, at 0617.
