On July 17, 2025, about 1122 eastern daylight time, a Piper PA-46-310P, N460WW, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Sunset, South Carolina. The commercial pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 positioning flight. The pilot stated that as part of his preflight inspection he added two quarts of oil to bring the engine to a total of 6.5 quarts.
