On May 11, 2025, about 1231 central daylight time, a Piper PA46-350P, N253MA, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Greenwood, Indiana. The pilot and passenger received serious injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that the airplane had been converted from the original piston engine to a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-35 turbo-propeller engine installation.
