On January 29, 2025, about 1417 Pacific standard time, a Cirrus Design Corp SR22T, N124LZ, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Santa Barbara, California. The two pilots were seriously injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. A review of ADS-B data showed that the airplane departed Santa Barbara, Municipal Airport, (SBA), Santa Barbara, California.
