On January 29, 2016, at 1155 local time, a Piper PA 28-235, VH-PXD, was ditched in the waters near Barwon Heads, Australia. The airplane was operated by a private individual under the pertinent regulations of the Government of Australia. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot and 3 passengers were fatally injured. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Australia. This report is for information purposes only and contains only information released by the Government of Australia.
