PILOT PERFORMED AUTOROTATION FROM 2000 FEET TO CHECK RPM. AT 200-300 FEET WHEN COLLECTIVE WAS ADDED POWER LOSS OCCURRED. AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND SEVERED TAIL BOOM. LOGGING SUPPORT OPERATIONS.
