AFTER A FAILED ATTEMPT TO START THE ENGINE, THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRPLANE LEAVING THE MAGNETOS ON AND THE BRAKES OFF. HE HAND TURNED THE PROPELLER, THE ENGINE STARTED AND THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE PILOT'S HEAD.
