On July 5, 2017, a Schweizer 269C helicopter, French registration F-GHAF, experienced a dynamic rollover near Boinvilliers, France. During a simulated engine failure, the engine lost power. The instructor attempted to restart the engine unsuccessfully three times. During the autorotation, a skid caught on the ground, and the helicopter rolled onto its side.The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the French government. This report is for information purposes only and contains only information released by or obtained from the French government.
