On November 15, 2009, at 1530 coordinated universal time, a Robinson R-22 Beta, G-RIDL, sustained substantial damage on impact with terrain near Cheshire, United Kingdom. The pilot was fatally injuried. The accident flight origination and time are unknown. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).
