A twin-engine Piper Aztec, Guatemalan registration TG-ALD, was destroyed shortly after takeoff from the La Aurora International Airport, Guatemala City, Guatemala. The pilot and 5 passengers were fatally injured. An instrument flight plan was filed and the aircraft's intended destination was Belize. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Government of the Republic of Guatemala.
